Interesting. Be handy if website/FB or even BG site confirmed some of these mooted dates. Haven't checked lately but finland was still TBC last yime I looked.

Looks like it's nearer Oslo than Stockholm if anyone's going over on a plane. Short bus ride for you I imagine Derek ?

Any word whether it's band gig or a festival?

Seems odd they don't.  Most bands send you emails and have it plastered all over their web sites.   Apart from the unconfirmed Glastonbury rumour (Pencil RAM on that weekend makes it seems like a given to me) most dates seem to have leaked out and tickets are on sale so little reason to not post them up.

The reason I've been given is that contracts between venues and band have not been signed. I think, judging from past events, they are more cautious these days. Buy at your own risk. .

Ah yes, caveat emptor and all that (or cava at empty in Lisa's case).

No real problem with the reason, other than seems daft to reduce notice and selling opportunity, but does annoy me that ticket agencies can promote and take cash without the contract in place, then cover themselves in festivals by saying lineup could change without refund due.

The logistics of getting late transport and accommodation don't help either, especially as costs rise and availbility drops, but I guess golden rule is bide your time or risk financial loss.

It's thoroughly annoying, I have to say. If it's a seated venue, not getting tickets is a risk of losing out on the best seats. If it's a festival it could sell out. If you buy festival tickets and it falls through you're stuck with tickets to a dreaded festival with no Rats or BG. .

There's a BG solo gig advertised in Barcelona in 16/3/15. No sign of confirmation anywhere. Tickets on sale here:  http://www.songkick.com/artists/388182-bob-geldof

Surely it can't be happening. That's ridiculously short notice.

I have always found it strange that people buy Glastonbury tickets without knowing who is playing.  Mike and Em could book every act you ever hated.  A bit like these Rewind/Reload/Let's Rock festivals.   I did fear The Rats would do Let's Rock London.  I think I'd have just parked up outside and listened to The Rats rather than having to endure Bananarama, Rick Astley and The Thompson Twins.  Let's "Rock" London?  They should be done under the Trade Descriptions Act.
