Hard to take in. This is 30 years old today. Just seem's like yesterday. What I great day that turned out to be. Not a big Queen fan. But hold my hands up they did good on the day. Me I was sitting by the TV VHS  tape in hand and a drink in the other hand, Was a real hot day, that day over both Ireland and England.

We sat in the garden watching it. I remember it as though it was yesterday how time flies.

Everyone was talking about it, it was everywhere.

According to Bob he doesn't know who changed the running order, he said he couldn't give a f*#¥ whether Prince Charles and Princess Diana saw them on stage. According to Midge, Bob change the running order to be up earlier so that PC and PD would see the Rats on stage.

Lovely day,  about 80 degrees as I recall. Remember Tommy Vance was it introducing the Boomtown Rat,  thinking oh there's microphone problems,  hope the Rats will be ok and then it went in Rat Trap, meaning there was almost an instrumental half to the song with Simon doing every other line.

Queen were brilliant and I loved the encore with Bob held aloft.

I was there. The Boomtown Rats got a decent welcome. Proud to see "my" band up there that day
