Following on from ArrGee's dissing of Rod the mod I got to thinking about our favorite pop stars looks. So feel free to nominate your best looking pop idol, both male and female. Just for fun.
I nominate Ian Mcculloch of Echo and the Bunnymen as best looking guy and I need to think about best looking female......Unfortunately Maccas looks have gone a bit south since his mid eighties prime so a pic from that era will illustrate why I nominated him.

For your actual pop star gents I'd say Bryan Ferry and Ronnie Wood, but honourable mentions for Paul Simonon of The Clash and John Robb of The Membranes for the finest cheekbones in punk.
For the women, totally with Mark on Debbie Harry. Also Kirsty MacColl, Annie Lennox and the young Pauline Black. And Miley Cyrus, for some reason.
Can't argue with Debbie Harry and especially Clare Grogan, whose appeal to a callow 16 yo went through roof when this came out
Also thought Wendy James looked good.
As for males, assuming we exclude boy bands chosen for looks above talent, and acts like Nick Kamen, then I'd probably say David Essex, and poss Adam Ant?
My female for vote goes to Justine Frischman of Elastica. She was the 90's 'Paula' to Damon's 'Bob'. Love the pic of Julian Cope, looks like a lost soul down on Old Compton Street, propping up the bar.
Following on from ArrGee's dissing of Rod the mod...
Just watching footage from the Faces reunion at Hurtwood Park this weekend...I can only assume that any woman who has slept with Rod has never seen him dance. Like a drunk aunt at a wedding.
