Elvis Costello takes his acclaimed Detour solo show for another spin next May with 5 UK dates including 4 nights at the London Palladium. Critics round the globe have waxed lyrical about this incredibly entertaining walk through Elvis Costellos amazing life and back catalogue.
Would love to see this guy live. You know Oliver's army is about the North of Ireland He came over here in 78 and sh@t himself saying that he would not be back after what he saw and on the way home on the plane This song was born
Yeah sure was and you know what it was a sh@t song that kept them of the No 1 spot U will find that happened to alot of great songs Strawberry fields Vienna all should have been No 1s and many more
Coming home last night, we put Sounds of the 80s on and Back on the Chain Gang was playing by the Pretenders. Good, catchy, feel good piece of 80s nostalgia...
I am amazed that people are paying well over £100 to see Elvis Costello. I have seen him three times in recent years at Albert Hall (£45 - 6th row on aisle) , Roundhouse (£55 - standing) and Palladium (£65 - 8th row on aisle). In fact the Albert Hall gig was well below capacity as they closed off the circle.
Only costing me £40 to see Rats and Happy Mondays next summer. A total bargain in comparison.
