Good luck to those travelling over today and tomorrow. Many cancelled flights today due to Storm Desmond. There will be delays and backlogs as they catch up. Some fans have no way of getting here, no flights until Monday or pay a full fare or very late flights etc. Hope we can get home on Monday.
We're back home after our flight from Birmingham was cancelled. Making a second attempt later from East Midlands but not hopeful as the wind hasn't dropped here. The final option is the 06:30 in the morning, but if that's full it could well be game over.
No seats available from Birmingham and many other airports now until Monday. Wish we'd booked to travel over Sunday, but you can't predict these things!

WTF! From Stansted....
22:05 Dublin FR271 Cancelled
All tomorrow's flights sold out. Can probably just about get bumped to the 5pm flight or even the 6.30pm as an extreme, but if I am on the 7.30pm I will have to just go home.
U can fly into Belfast then make ur way to Dublin much faster than going to Shannon from Dublin. We are getting the 11am train. But as Julys pointed out hope the Rats know what the fans a going through Hope who ever is having issues trying to get to Dublin for tonight's gig get's sorted. I hear it's a sell out so if everyone's get to the gig It will be something else

Mel & Chelle
The 21:10 from East Midlands was also cancelled, but only after we arrived at the airport! The 06:30 was also full by this time, but due to the better half's determination we got 2 seats out of Birmingham this afternoon which is on Aer Lingus meaning that we had to pay again, the price of which was quite eye watering as you can imagine. All I'll say is that it was 10x what we paid originally!
An interesting Saturday visiting the airports in the Midlands, but today should be better. We also have friends stuck in Dublin, apparently 20,000 stranded people were trying to get hotel rooms last in Dublin last night. Luckily our friends were able to use the hotel room we'd booked for last night.
These things happen and the airlines do their best. The only thing is as ever information can be sketchy at the time.
Lots of departures from Dublin according to Aer Lingus websites. Some delays and some saying due at X time. So why Shannon? There are some arriving. It seems to be ok at the moment, perhaps something to do with the backlog? Or those stupid little propeller planes they put us on.
Less windy? Anyway looks like all the flights are going today, so the only danger now is getting bumped. Glad I kept that hotel room. Wouldn't have been that bad had it been Monday, perfect excuse to not go to work!
Lots of arrivals in Dublin today. Everything is very slightly delayed by about 10-15 mins, which is neither here nor there. Maybe the plane was in the wrong place, so they had to right it by landing there? Weird! Or just the flights to Dunlin were full.
