I was just send this and it made me smile, so thought I'd share it:

A bear, a lion and a chicken meet.
Bear says: "If I roar in the forests of North America, the entire forest is
shivering with fear."
Lion says: "And if I roar on the great plains of Africa, the entire
savannah is afraid of me."
Says the chicken: "Big deal. I only have to cough, and the entire planet
sh*ts itself."

They found infected chickens a few kilometres from my hometown. Yesterday there was a doctor talking about it in our school. I am getting worried about my cat and dog.

I think the advice is to keep pets indoors. Very worrying really.

Especially if your favourite food is chicken with curry.

I heard that eating battery chicken is OK as far as the spread of the disease is concerned. They don't have the freedom and range to catch it. Not sure how I'd feel about eating it again though

Does anyone know what the court of human rights decided in the case of the Centre For Alternative Technology CHICKENS vs s.o. I recently met a fair trade campaigner at Corris Youth Hostel who thought it was uncanny to find tom winrush (sp) from Planet 24 and Judith Poole management consultant to World Health Oranisation sitting in the cafe. New media link may be carlton communications. I'm fed up with CAT. They have taken so many cases to Court of Human rights often mentioning me personnally yet have no info about these cases. I'm also fed up with seeing photos of Sir Bob eg at dinner with Jeanne Marine and Jerry Hall at Nobus resaurant wich were all taken before 1992. The NME award photo for Feb 2006 is also very old.I saw it on this website before this years' award ceremony so quite distressing. Even more icily terrifying is the momory that different men have sung Boomtown Rats' songs and taken LIVE82005 to this point probably for thousands of years and different women observed as me. I remember abclife.org the JAM church group as being very lucky in terrifying meltdown. People are dying everywhere or at least suffering. I am not sure whether to trudge up to Scotland so that Sir Bob can see I've had my hair cut at his request when he, Peaches and Trixie visited in September 2005 so that he can interpret the intention to re power the mistake I made when I cut his hair to see hism make funny faces in1991 or whther I'd be better to spend the money going to Tunisia to try to pick up whatever I lost there in 1991ish when I spent this sum I received in November 2004 and early in 2005 for the first time. I could also just about repay this years' DLA instead. What do you advise please? Perhaps Glasgow could open up in the present or someone (hopefully Bob or Jeanne or one of their kids could go with me to Sheik temple in Glasgow or London to find out what is wrong and on to Neesdon temple to get a good Budhist direction for outter space which it seems will be my destiny so fun must again wait and to be in perfection I need my information arrows and health becasue it'll be easier. Sorry this is a jumble message but I'm stressed about the prospect of telling Lee my plans and trying to see if she wants to go. Katrina Salter is qualified to deal with human rights matters in Belfast Courts. Hope to see new photos soon. Must dash because I should be writing to Amnesty about the unfair treatment of Tunisians imprisoned due to my visit. How much will it cost if I get to Tunisia to repower the Africans re: freedom from concept of 'not in perfection?' Is it safe for me or I am I spreading misery while trying to pick up previos sin? Any advice would be welcome. Thank you for running such a good website but I'm concerned about the concept of 'Hell' so I hope everyone online is safe and happy and can work out a good way to get free. Love for now Roxane

I think I last gave up smoking in Tunisia but to do this I had to miss church meetings etc I was directed to or I'd have needed a cigarette to support me there and back. My AIDS structure fell apart a day after I left my effort to fix it from Tesco's with another left and paid for at Tesco's because I tried to use Joseph to support me then his girlfriend me and him were in a worse fix but we managed to confess to the catholic father at Victoria on the mobile. I hope I'll find a route. I find it scary to realise that this has gone on since the beginning of time and have no emotional support of peace and quiet. I hope to be sick if I get to Tunisia so that the NHS here and there is free oif the Psychiatric drugs which I was reliably informed ois the only reason for world suffering. Please advise if you can. Thanks for your cheerful and relevant communications. Hope to meet you sometime e.g. at a gig. Roxnae

It is worrying and so far not too much of a threat to us here in the UK (I'm sure it will come). Really we can keep our animals inside, and take precautions. But most worrying though is the affect is having on Africa and Asian. Yet another killer disease out there.

The joke was funny, but sadly there is a very serious side to this.

Hungary

Those making the ``species jump'' from animals to humans include bird flu, variant Creutzfeld Jakob disease, derived from mad cow disease, and human immunodeficiency viruses (HIV), Woolhouse said.

The Hungarian government has appropriated 5.8 billion forint ($27.4 million) to respond to the bird flu threat, including compensation for chicken farmers for potential losses, government spokesman Andras Batiz said yesterday.

Batiz said that by early March, Hungary will have the permit in place to distribute 20,000 doses of the bird flu vaccine that is being developed in Hungary. While Hungary's government has pronounced the vaccine effective against the H5N1 virus, it has yet to be fully tested.

``We have precisely enough -- that is, 20,000 doses -- available to us in Hungary, so that if the situation comes up where bird flu spreads to domestic poultry, that the surgeon general can decide to vaccinate people who breed or who work immediately with those birds,'' Batiz said.
