Bob Geldof was also in attendance, having flown in from Dublin where he had been made a Freeman of the City, an ancient honour whose principle benefit seems to be the right to graze sheep on St Stephen's Green.

"I don't mean to boast," Geldof told me, "but I've been made a freeman of more cities than I could ever visit."

He has also had this honour bestowed upon him in London, which includes the ancient rite to walk his sheep across Westminster bridge. "The thing is," Geldof pointed out, "I actually do own 15 sheep, so, if I can just figure out a way of getting them from Westminster to Dublin, I can graze them for nothing."

I'm sure Bob could get his sheep to Dubin if he wanted. Another of his privileges of Freedom of Dulin is that he can bring stuff into the country & not go through customs!

The sheep might not take too kindly to the travelling between Westminster and Dublin. A boat or plane journey would be horrendous for them.
