he hits the nail on the head. Watch the audience as Bob rips apart business speak. Most are looking serious, one woman is laughing. She can obviously see the ridiculousness of it.
Is there anything Bob espouses to which you're diametrically opposed? Just wondering if fanaticism either influences or clouds judgment sometimes, or at least affords forgiveness others might not get.
Has he ever said anything, I'm thinking in his political stance, that you vehemently disagree with?
Trump is no dafter than many Presidents who have gone before him.
People with lots of money often do and say stupid things.
what about that twaz goldsmith?? now there's a guy whos extremely rich that touts a load of cobblers
he's running for London mayor isn't he. I watched him in a discussion on tv. he was banging on about how amazon and the like should ban the sale of knives on their site thereby making it difficult for young people to buy knives which apparently would help cut down knife crime amongst gangs.
honestly, what planet is this guy on??? ever heard of roberty dyas, Zach? what a moronic thing to suggest.
and there's sadiq talking about working, hands on, on the ground with communities to get to the roots of gang crime and try to prevent it. yes of course this is the way. you work with communities and support them. it's the communities closest to the situation that have the insight and understanding of whats going on. not totally and completely out of touch twazes like Zach flipping goldsmith!

he begins with saying about cooperation and understanding; however, he then goes on to calling trump matey STUPID.
well erm, that's not very understanding of the loads and loads of people that vote trump is it?
it doesn't really come across as 'look, I understand where people are coming from that they vote this man'
I mean he's more likely said really, that trump is stupid which kind of implies that people that vote for him are stupid too
well done bob haha
I get his sentiments though
perhaps the trump voters are lost causes and when he talks of understanding he actually means it in an exclusive sense
mind you, I was calling Zach goldsmith a twaz
hmmmm anyway
perhaps he does understand trump though. perhaps he understands him enough to know he's stupid. so what about cooperation? cooperate with trump? how will bob do that I wonder?
interesting huh?
you gotta speak trumps language I guess - whatever that may be.
What ArrGee said. He's there to win at any cost, he'll say or do more or less anything, but consequently is now imploding. Meanwhile the frankly even more terrifying Cruz goes by without scrutiny despite winning kicking his Trump's arse in Iowa.
You don't get as rich as Donald Trump through stupidity. Trump isn't stupid, he gets it. He knows the more outrageous, the better.
Agreed. But those who get rich and famous, even if through talent, still say and do stupid things. It's as if they feel licence to act accordingly or are indifferent to the consequences because there's always the bank balance to fall back on.
Of late, is the crass nonsense from rich Tories who will say 'We're all in this together'

I agree, but saying and doing stupid things isn't the preserve of the rich and famous. I agreed with what you wrote, it was others writing he was stupid.
"perhaps he does understand trump though. perhaps he understands him enough to know he's [Trump] stupid. "
I am getting tired of the communist and Russell Brand manifestos. Can't argue with most of the nonsense spouted.
I should just respond "Parklife!" and leave it at that.

Not sure about Hilary either. Ronald Reagan is considered by Americans to be the greatest post war president. Some going for a B Movie actor. It's a shame that Obama hasn't created a great legacy, maybe time will judge him kindly, but he has been a great steward and you were never too worried with him running the show.

I wasn't actually calling trump stupid Arrgee. sorry it read ambiguously also, your are wrong if you assume that I am on the same page politically as BRand. I'm not. but I find it extremely refreshing that he is talking about politics.
but tell me aargee, which political faction agrees with you? you no doubt make valid points. however, none of the poiticians are listening are they Aargee? or are they?

I suppose you have proof of this arrgee about americns considering Reagan to be the greatest post war president. I suppose it's like comparing a very mentally deranged idiot with others that are even more mentally deranged, if you get my drift. anyway it was a vry sweeping statement, I wonder if that is really how americnas see it. as Reagan being great? I somehow doubt it. I think there are more intelligent americans than that.

I don't know why you keep referring to me in your replies yet don't bother to spell my name correctly.
Poiticians (sic) listen to everyone and then do what they want. And why would they listen to me? I am with Bowie and Collins. Just leave and go somewhere else that suits. If Corbyn gets in, I will most likely end up leaving the UK.
All politician's in my opinion are di?kheads. All Me me me They could not give a flying sh?t about the man/woman in the street who more than likely pay more tax to the system and them lot

Some are more outstandingly and outrageously worse that others. Trump comes in to that category.
As a political staffer I feel the need to pop at this point and say some of them knuckle down and do the work but that's not newsworthy. I'll be off again, now.

that's an interesting point Tango, I often think of some politicians working pretty hard actually and being in the public limelight all the time can't always be easy and the flack they get as well could be quite wearing.
Cameron says he's not up for another stint after the next election didn't he? he's greyed a lot over this last few years that's for sure. but still looks relatively fresh faced.
I've actually found some tories to have reasonable people skills which is more than you can say for some lefties.
I met Gerald Howarth, Aldershot mp once, and I was slightly baffled by how nice and personable he seemed. lol.
thinking of a guy at work who votes tory, we have a blast.
this is why I'm trying to think of ways to get the centre right on board as well as centre left.
the extremes on both sides I don't think the majority really want to please....... however there's always the risk I spose that it goes more towards their corners as time goes by.

apologies ArrGee, my brain was a tad fryed when I replied a few evenings ago. I will leave you in peace now. and thanks for discussion :D

Developed a bald patch but colour doesn't seem to have changed.
I don't discuss politics much, but I would say 'heir to Blair' that man. His 'deal' for Britain to stay in EU is as laughable as it is derisory. That a BRITISH Prime Minister should have scuttle round European capitals begging other leaders to 'allow' him to restrict A, B and C tells you all you need to know about how power has seeped away to Brussels since the mid-70s.
We will now be subjected to months of spin and press prattle re the EU. It would be more honest if Call me Dave would just say he's a passionate European and get on with it, instead of pretending to have renegotiated a great new deal.

It's a simple choice.
Leave and remove a layer of government.
Stay and remain in a important political/trade bloc.
The cost of staying or leaving is unknown. Some countries do well outside the EU, whilst others are desperate to join as they see it as their salvation.
For what it is worth, I think the best thing to do is vote against. Then the EU would offer some concessions. And then there will be another vote. And possibly another. Untill they get the decision they want. That's what happened in Denmark and Ireland.

I spose that I think there are some reasons why being a part of a European forum is good.
but I spose I think there's probably some issues where countries should have complete sovereignty over their own affairs
i'm not up on European politics I must admit
isn't it rather an undemocratic decision making process. I remember last time I looked it looked like it was completely totally shocking. but that was a long time ago. perhaps things have changed now. I should read up in it I spose.
Project Nightmare has begun courtesy of the Europhiles and those who stand to lose if the gravy train were to end. I am annoyed that an elderly relative of mine has become terribly distressed because someone has waltzed into a TV studio prattling on about the UK becoming 'unsafe' after Brexit.
So how does that explain 7/7 in London, Paris attacks, multiple migrant sex attacks in Cologne, Madrid attacks and so on and so forth.
Alice Gross must be turning in her grave at the 'benefits' freedom of movement (ie no border checks whatsoever) bestowed on her Latvian killer who managed to get here after killing his wife. God rest both their souls.
i watched some vid of trump talking on british tv programme earlier. I dunno, much about nothing really.
personally I think he might be getting votes due to something like this:
there seems to be an increasing amount of resentment between 'left' and 'right' wing people when it comes to being pc.
rights wingers get labelled by the lefties as racist for merely voicing their concerns about immigration.... and some left wingers get very easily offended by stuff, to the point I notice of shutting down others' opinions.
hell yeh, some leftie behaviour is an impediment to freedom of speech as they kick up a fuss and go labelling people as racist etc. for having a different opinion and/or perspective/or insight. their reactions seem to be try to shut down the person's expressions of opinion. it's oppressive. yes there is an oppressive type of leftie.
thing is I kind of really get where lefties are coming from but this being so overly sensitive, offended etc. means that people end up voting people like trump because they need to be represented! instead of supporting people that pussy foot around issues and tip toe around on egg shells in fear of 'offending' the everso frigging righteous left.
oh some lefties do annoy me the way they're supposed to be the understanding compassionate ones and yet they don't try to understand those with genunine fears and concerns over things like immigration. for godssake let people talk without butting in with accusations.
but when it comes to right wingers, I dunno, they are a weird bunch aren't they..... I mean they simply don't seem to see any problem with letting big biz lead the way. they have this weird notion that fair competition is for our public money to be squandered on their projects so that they can profit from it, yet they won't let us use our public money to make more!! now how is that equal opportunity and fair competition lol it blatantly isn't lol
anyway both sides irritate me.
but I tell you what, I would at least like to be a person that listens.
a person that tries to understand all sides of the argument.
I don't poo poo those fears and worries...... because very often there's a good reason.
trump knows what he is doing. he's addressing issues no one else dares to. a bit like when the BNP were voted in east London while I was there in the early 90s. I was told that the white british locals just wanted fairer representation in their own boroughs. it was felt apparently that other ethnicities were being given preferential treatment etc.
so maybe they voted for good reason and not because of racism. who knows eh. oh I heard that the BNP were a bunch of thugs and sure they attracted less desirable types, but then perhaps some decent peeps voted them too? and perhaps trump is playing a similar card. when people feel shut up, shut out and shut down, they will go to the person at least addressing the issues they care about.
just some thoughts. and musings really.
the more you shut people up with the racist card, the more strongly they'll want to throw their weight.
I think there are plenty on the middle left and middle right ground that could come to some agreements. the reasonable people on both sides ought to lead the way. I don't feel right vs left really works. it needs to be more middle vs extreme.
but tell me aargee, which political faction agrees with you? you no doubt make valid points. however, none of the poiticians are listening are they Aargee? or are they?

Looking at the polls, I better get house hunting! Fortunately I qualify for an Irish passport and Portugal is calling...
Looking into getting danish citizanship,Britain is getting really weird and nasty.
I gotta have a contingency plan. Last twelve months have been crazy. Mrs. ArrGee thinks we should just get out of London, but I want to get out of the country. Being in the vicinity of three knife attacks (two in the last week!) in 18 months is enough. Vote Labour, get the DUP!!!
