This gig is sort of near to were my parents live so I might go to this gig and stay with them for the weekend. I wonder if they will play a long set or a short set?

It sounds like the Bertiie Worcester's and Hugh Grant posh type of festival. But I trust Kenny Jones Jones cos he is very rock and roll having drummed for the Small Faces the Faces and the Who so he knows his music and I trust him to put on a really good festival.

Set comprised She's So Modern, Like Clockwork, She's Gonna Do You In, Someone's Looking At You, I Don't Like Mondays, Mary of The Fourth Form, Rat Trap, The In Crowd (Bill Wyman guesting on bass) and The Boomtown Rats.

Schedule was completely blown by then so Rats appeared around 10.40pm for approx 40-45 minutes.

Difficult to gauge numbers but reportedly 5000 attendees on the day, so possibly 3500 sticking it out to the delayed end? Certainly busy around stage and pretty dense crowd back to sound desk.

Luckily the rain in week leading up had moved on so ground spongy but far from muddy. Probably good to soft, it being a polo club and all that

Next stop Vienna. Goodnight.

The set was fast and furious, because of the lateness. They were supposed to be off by 11 pm. Well received by the crowd, photos later, if I can get them sorted out.
