There is no indication of when this happened, often these things are reported months/years after the event. I guess it might have been sometime last year during the Make Poverty History campaigns.
No matter if true or not, I think it's very funny! Just imagine Bob trying to bite Tony! And Tony trying to escape by chatting to Bono about U2 hits! Hilarious!
Jaysus Christ, Jules. You and your out of context contactmusic snippets.
That comes from an hourlong interview Bono gave earlier this week on Australian TV. Since Bono said several other things about BG you might find amusing, I'll post the link. (I wasn't going to, because it's long and mainly concerns Bono and U2, but you've forced me. Not to mention that the link is available on atu2.com, which I know you frequent.)
Huh? they aren't my out of context snippets - they are the ContactMusic's, I don't write for them. We know what the press are... I might go on the atU2 site, but I rarely read any of it, aside from the forum. I don't go there daily, a few times a week. The only time I read the news items on there is if I'm sent it in a news alert or something catches my eye before I log onto the forum.
That's funny. I hardly ever read their forum, and I don't get news alerts for anyone. I find atu2 to be the one of the best U2 news sources (aside from Rita - LOL).
Apparently contactmusic's M.O. is to take the most incendiary comment from any source, and send that out on its own. And then you seem to post it.
There's enough in the full interview about Bob to make it worth your read, but I won't give you a spoiler.
If you want the video for it, I can probably track down a link for you.
Oh - since we're sort of on the subject, the current rumor (as you'll see) is that the postponed Australia/NZ/Japan/Hawaii shows will be rescheduled for November, so if you start saving now....
There'll be enough about Bono for me to be interested, I'm sure.
Contact Music's snippets are usually pretty funny, and I trust everyone round here not to believe all that they read (or trust the Press to get everything out of context as always) to keep posting them. If you have a link to the full story do provide it, as it is interesting to see what it's all about. Even then that's probably been twisted...
If I start saving now I might get to Oz/NZ by November 2016. And just hope U2 might be playing there then maybe...
