(for any guitarists out there)- both Garry and Darren had new guitars from the recent tours, Garry almost exclusively had been playing a black Gibson Les Paul and Darren a natural Les Paul Jr.
On Nolan Live- Garry played a Blue Fender Stratocaster and Darren a Fender Telecaster Deluxe with humbuckers.
It did change the sound for Garry quite considerably.
Perhaps a new studio album is in the offing (it may prompt the band to test out new equipment- and try different sounds)
Anyway as a guitarists it interested me. Best wishes one and all

Where is Garrick's silver/glitter Gretsch guitar? Personally I think Fenders don't hold a candle to a Gibson. Also pleased that Pete plays a Hofner violin bass like myself. Needs a decent amp to make it sound good admittedely, but it is a great bass to play for a long period of time and doesn't feel like a massive weight after half an hour. If it is good enough for Macca...

Bob said at the Dublin gig recently that Gary had built a new guitar for himself ie the blue Fender Strato that he was playing.
I presume Geldof was telling the truth or else why mention it? This was during the band intros and it had slipped my mind until yesterday .

Not sure if this is true or not and I suppose on reflection it would not be a Stratocaster as it was not build by that company.Might be a Legendcaster though.
