Great night in Dublin. Full house.Geldof wearing new leopardskin suit.
Big crowd at meet up,with many flying in and doing both gigs. Not too keen on Lizzy 'Boys' cover.Good to here Joey again though Eva Braun was left in the bunker so to speak.
Bob joked that his old snakeskin so was so talented it could play the Olympia on its own!
Yeah same in Belfast But I liked the boys are back cover
I heard that some ex members of Lizzy were supposed to join the Rats on stage for this song. They didn't show up!
TBABIT is a classic but way too familiar. It's always played at Irish rugby home games.I would have gone with Blind Date or Go Man Go.Still a great night. Was talking to Andy from the North who was at both gigs, and met him at Leopardstown gig previously.

Yeah Geldof said on Friday night they would be at the Dublin gig. Was with Andy at Ryan's bar B4 the gig. Nice guy
Intro on big screen was really long, at least 10 mins.Humorously billed as Dunlaoghaire TV.It was way over the top. Also felt the continuous projection detracted a bit from watching the actual band on stage.Stage lighting was good though.

Here's the new suit and excellent performance of Someone's Looking At You. Suit is ok, good to get a new look. Snakeskin suit now has own career and will be appearing around the country soon according to Bob (always has a good sense of humour I find)

It didn't seem short. As stated earlier the 'promo' film introducing the band was greatly extented, almost a history of rock n roll with the Rats appearing at choice moments to skake their claim (and rightly so!) Must have went on for at least 10 minutes and actually had many saying 'just get on with it' in more choice Dublin vernacular. I was amused at a Dublin 'young wan' from the inner city to judge by her accent saying 'a jaysus Bob will ya start the ***** gig. She was a bit the worse for wear.
The also covered the Boys Are Back In Town. You gotta factor in also the pause in Mondays and the interminable pause in She's Gonna Do You in.Could have got another song in .Overall it felt just right ,not too long or short. As Joe Dolan used to say Leave them wanting more.
