a little game to amuse you all...Pretty easy to play (well so I thought!  I have clarified the rules and removed posts that may confuse - I appreciate I wasn't as clear as I should have been).

Rules

  • Name a act and a track
  • Then name another act with an identically named track (but not a cover)
  • Use the second act as the first one in the next post
  • and hopefully someone can carry it on.....

Sample :

  1. Alan Price - Changes  & David Bowie - Changes
  2. David Bowie - Let's Dance & Chris Montez -  Let's Dance
  3. Chris Montez - Call Me  & Blondie - Call Me

etc.

and with the wonderful www, this should go on and on and on......

so Blondie - ????? & ???? - ???

PS don't be too obscure, don't want to end it unnecessarily, and no looping through the same songs/acts.

The way I understood it is that I took ArrGee's last singer/band and gave a song that had an identical name (but a totally different song) by another artist. The next person then takes that artist, names one of their songs and follows with an identically named (different song) by another artist.

Exactly.  When I read back what I wrote it wasn't as clear as it should have been.....

Ricky Martin? Make it easy - why don't you? 90% of his songs are Spanish. Anyway, how about this for an unbelieveable connection.

Ricky Martin - Loaded & Primal Scream -Loaded

Hello:

This is a fun (but very challenging) game.

I don't know Primal Scream's work very well, but here is my best shot:

Primal Scream "Call on Me" and Big Brother & the Holding Company's "Call on Me"

[If this is a remake, please say so and we all try a different Primal Scream song.   I searched for the lyrics, but couldn't find them.]

take care,

debm

PS:  I have posted this game on another board I visit, since it's a music-related board.  I hope this is ok with you.  I thought others would find it fun too.

You know, I tried this one on another board and it didn't go on there either.  I thought it would be a fun game.  So it goes...

You know what's ironic about this not working on the other board - that particular group's song writer is well known to borrow song titles from songs he likes and then he writes his own song.  lol.

[You gave us an easy one!     peace, debm]

XTC "Dear God" and Midge Ure "Dear God"
