To see other Geldof video clips, do a video search on www.dogpile.com There is a good one backstage at Live 8. There may be rats ones too, but I have not done a search on them.
To see Bob sing This is the World Calling, Great S.O.I., Love like a Rocket, and Love or Something, go to
If it says you require a licence, just click OK and you will get the clips Dont be put off by any adverts or long introductions, the songs will come. They are MTV videos from different eras, from long hair to short. Definitely one to put on your favourites.
You MUST watch the MTV video clips, absolutely hilarious. Great S O I,-the only time you will see Geldof doing Irish dancing! Love or Something-watch the antics in the lifts, and Clapton on Love like a Rocket. This will bring a smile to your face.
Believe it or not, I've never seen the video for TGSOI before and, you're right, it's a gem!
I love that song. Was so pleased it and not "Rat Trap" made the Live 8 DVD, as it was one of the songs of the night in terms of audience participation at Murrayfield. (Amazing as nearly everyone there had never heard it before!) I love the way the lyrics are at odds with the diddly-diddly melody. What's the word for that? Juxtaposition?
Anyway you've occupied me on this wet Sunday afternoon.......
wOoOo! bob irish dancing .... he seems pretty crap at it but at least he tried and thats what makes it so amusing! i've been doing irish dancing for 5 years and by the time i finish a dance i am not smiling lol.. it's absolutley exhausting. i think irish must be one of the most tiring forms of dance ever !fantastic solo vids tho i think the parts with his hair at it's longest suits him the best, i've only ever seen the btr videos
Thanks Scottie that interview was very interesting. When interviewing Bob, I think you can only have a handful of questions, otherwise you'll be there forever - or maybe that would be a good idea afterall He's interesting, eloquent and has a beautiful accent.
Yeah Id only ever sen btr vids before, but those are dead good.and the interview was great.but his face made my stomach churn when he was talking about Paula
