The Rats are due to play at a big gig in Marley Park, Rathfarmham in South Dublin on July 8th. The are supporting headliners Queen and Adam Lambert. Tickets are a bit pricey at 80 euros which is about £70.
The Darkness are also on the bill which most likely will see the Rats doing a shorter set. Anyway it's good to see there seems to be more gigs lined up this year than last, and with a new album coming out and celebrating 40 years since Rat Trap was Number one it should be a pretty good year for the band and all fans.
Bob on Dave Fanning this morning talking briefly about Marley Park gig and how/why they got the Queen gig.

They should do a few more of these type of support slots. Roger Waters is playing at Hyde Park this summer which would be a decent bill to be on. Ditto Rolling Stones in Europe. Could even open for U2 (though I don't think they have support on their forthcoming tour). Has to be better than being on the same bill as Tony Hadley, Bucks Fizz, Rick Astley et al.
