Fantastic. Brilliant rendering out A Hold of Me, great backing vocals from Simon. Drag Me Down is magnificent. Basically classic Rats and an audience that actually seems to be enjoying themselves. This was shortly after Do The Know It's Christmas so maybe that accounts for some of the enthusiasm from the audience.
Anyway great to see, and nice to see Fingers in the picture too.
I recall this show quite well. Paula Yates said that she was not allowed to introduce 'the next group' in case you thought the lead singer had 'given me one'
Jools Holland : Whereas the lead singer has in fact given me one......of these fabulous records which is their new album (holds up In the Long Grass)
A female backing vocalist! Was/is that a first for the Rats?
Didn't notice any 'wimmin' in the video. But Molly and Polly Jackson did backing vocals on Hard Times and I think they were credited on V Deep as well. Molly and Polly did some of the backing vocals on The Specials Free Nelson Mandela. They worked too with Elvis Costello and various others in the eighties.

Well done Noel, completely forgot Hard Times.
The female vocalist is over the back and to the left of Simon as we watch it with another male backing vocalist. At 3 mins 14 seconds probably the best shot of her.
