The record was produced by Briquette and features 10 new tracks. The first single, and album opener, Trash Glam Baby will be released on January 10.
The four-piece will support the album with a spring UK tour, calling in Brighton, Cheltenham, Birmingham, Liverpool, Cardiff, Cambridge, York, Manchester, Gateshead and London, where they'll perform at the Palladium. Tickets go on sale at 11am on December 13.
On the same day the new record is released, Faber Music will publish Geldof's new lyric book, Tales of Boomtown Glory, which features scans from his old notebooks, among other things.
2020 will also see the release of a new documentary film by Billy McGrath about the band, from their early days through to Live Aid and the present day.
OK, decided that Cambridge looks like a good night out, though how I get home is another matter! £30 rather than £45, so even with coach fare (£16) little different. And 1st May is a write off anyway..
The only suitable venue for me is on the week I've poked a holiday away typical you could not make it up how ironic (&fits disabled friendly ) I can't cancel holiday never mind they might do some again later in year

And now Brighton seems more likely. Only minor issue is it is on Thursday, so no late night trains, so a gamble on getting into London in time to catch tube. 22:56 gets in to Blackfriars at 00:18 which is tight to get to Mile End at 00:45... Just 10 minutes leeway.
And Slovakia play Ireland in Euro 2020 qualifier. Will only be half time when gig starts...
I have purchased 2 standing York Barbican tickets. Also pre-ordered Vinyl and CD (with setlist). My wife can buy me the book for my birthday - which is a week before the Rats gig.
Seems to be plenty of seats. I wonder why they decided to play the fully seated Palladium in London whereas elsewhere they are playing venues that have general standing. The prices are a bit higher in London as well (£51 vs. £33).
Brighton looks most likely for me at the moment. £10 train return. Need to use up a couple of days holiday before end of March. Just a shame it isn't Friday.
