Watched Soccer AM on Saturday and can't decide whether featured up and coming Liverpool band "Rats" (https://www.facebook.com/pg/officialrats/about/) is good news or bad for the Boomtown ones.

It does mean more people will be drawn to references to (Boomtown) Rats articles and gigs I guess, but will no doubt generate some ignorant comments. Might be a few confused faces at some gigs too

Been a couple of other bands called The Rats as well.  Mick Ronson was in one of them.

https://www.thisfeeling.co.uk/band-of-the-week-rats   A little more about RATS for those with no facebook access at work

Sorry, just lazily picked off first link I came across.

Even the paint daubed name looks similar on page you supplied :-O

Should get them supporting the CoB tour in an effort to drag in the next generation, so long as they don't do a Tom Petty job on Bob and the boys....

No worries. The reason I go on this forum far too much is lack of access to all manner of social media and forums.  The activeboard forums are one of the ways I can communicate with the outside world.  Hence far too many posts here and on the bar Italia forum.

Everyone here will be thrilled to know that you come on because you can't get access to any other social media!

I come on here because the posts are usually well informed, intelligent and friendly and it's informative and enjoyable. I can't stand FB ; it's generally a platform for show-offs. Noel does a great job of being FB link person anyway smile

This forum is first choice for me anyhow. Even when it strays into 'danger' areas like politics or other divisive issues, people can ignore or reply and when they reply, I can agree or just respectfully disagree with them without a terminal fall-out.

Talking of Facebook Rats are putting up posters around London. Chance to win COB signed t-shirt for sharp eyed photographer. Seems other cities to follow.

Curiously Pete gave details about 7" single  vinyl release date on his FB 4 or 5 days ago but not mentioned on official site as yet.
