New songs for Minehead? Sunday 1 March 2020

Didn't realise gig was so close! I wonder will we get to hear any of the new songs live next Sunday before the album comes out?

Most likely Trash Glam Baby will get first live outing and maybe Monster Monkeys as it is likely to be the next single. This speculation is based on Dave McSavage interview with Bob. Mcsavage tells listeners that he was involved in the making of video or should I say actually appears in the video. Also says song is really good, for what it's worth.

I'd say majority of set will be old classics but with the possibility of a few new songs thrown in, especially TGB.

I'm pretty disorganized at the moment so haven't booked for any of the UK gigs. Was thinking about Liverpool or Brighton or Cambridge. Haven't even checked flights, but will have a look later.

I'd certainly like to do the Copenhagen and other Danish gig later in the year. Nice to go to an interesting country and see my favourite band at the same time. smile

I am going to Brighton which will obviously influence your decision.

So I guess it's between Cambridge and Liverpool now

I have booked accommodation in Copenhagen. It is at half term so maybe my Trash Glam daughter will come along.

PS She isn't really trash glam. And she probably won't go to see The Rats!

I'll check Ryanair. A few years ago got a return flight to Birmingham for  Eu19.99, about £17. Saw the Rats in Brum. Generally aim for gig with high forum turnout so unlikely to go to Fort William or Truro should the Rats be playing there.

See you at Brighton!  Don't think many others on here are going.

Well I've just booked a flight to Gatwick for Brighton gig. Will purchase ticket tomorrow. There should be a few forum or ex forum or part time forum members going. All depends on who's talking to who.smile

I suspect Suss will be there as it's not far from his home (not that that really makes much difference).  Do The Rat (who was in Cork)  likely to be there as he comes from Brighton.  And I will be, corona virus permitting.

What are your flight times?  I will be in Brighton around 2-3pm. I am planning some Quadrophenia sight seeing but can forgo that to have a drink or ten.

No issue with trains between Brighton & Gatwick.  Nice easy trip.  Probably easier than London.

Due into Gatwick at 14.20. I went down to Brighton a few years ago as my flight from London was in the evening

Yes I'm met Do The Rat (Gary) a few times. He was in Cork, Guildford and a few other places that I can't exactly remember.

Hopefully we can meet up well before gig.
