Saturday 2nd July - Sign of the Times Festival - LIITTLE HADHAM HERTS SG11 2DY
Near Bishop's Stortford, so should be good for me. Can get a room for around £36. 2021 Line up was very good with Ash, Happy Mondays, Black Grape, Wilko Johnson, Big Country, The Futureheads and Adam Ant. Shame I wasn't aware of it until now as I would have gone.
Just learned from COB website that Garry is/has been in hospital recently(July 2022)and may not be playing dates in near future. Maybe this was why they did not play at Kildare recently. They had a replacement guitar player at some of the UK gigs in the last while as can be seen on some of the YouTube videos.
Source for this is NeilJ's interview with Pete on COB website, published a few days ago.

Hopefully The Legend gets well soon. Cant read COB website, it is like a freemasons secret society. Do you have a link? (Or can you copy & paste)

Not sure if this works. Interview with Pete is from 13 July. Yep the COB website is very difficult to navigate and I generally don't bother with it. Was curious as I had watched a recent Rats gig on YouTube and noticed Garry was missing, replaced by another guitarist. Looking for more info I logged into COB and solved the mystery . It's the likely reason they didn't play in Kildare ie Garry was ill.
Hopefully he makes a speedy or otherwise recovery. The band, after all, was founded in Garry's kitchen!

It seems to have umpteen forums, you have to login to read anything. It's like a secret society. Still it keeps the riff raff like myself away!
https://www.theboomtownratsofficial.com/tour is also a bit bonkers. Not sure what dialect of gobbleygook it is written in. It has a date in Glasgow which isn't listed anywhere else and a date in South Korea! And it tells you off for not looking at the main page for tour dates! FFS!
