What a palaver! Only in the Uk would there be so much red tape and absolute time wasting. I actualy received an email from the Cabinet Office today, asking to see the site and which photos in particular did I want. Now you would think the Cabinet office would have better things to do, like RUN THE COUNTRY.
Am I a terrrorist, a known trouble maker? Do I have a police record?
None of the above. I am not likely to write anything about politicians which is worse than can be found in the press.
So here is the link to the Parliament website if you want to look yourselves. There is a nice one with some schoolchildren. They certainly know who he is, judging by the number of autographs they want. (probably for their mums or grannies)
Finally, finally got my permission today, all signed and sealed by the Queen's Printer for Scotland, no less. I have had to agree to about 8 pages of rules and regulations. They are duely on board. Why should simple things be so difficult?
If I have to encounter that much beaurocracy just to get a paltry 2 photos put on a website, just think what barriers Bob must encounter to get debt wiped out, or aid increased etc. It must be like battering his head off a brick wall sometimes, but he keeps on charging that brick wall again and again.
Talking of the Scottish Parliament, our school choir of 8-12 year olds are singing alongside a school choir from Malawi tonight at the Parliament. They (ours) also sing in Swahili, believe it or not and have just won a major competition. There may be something in tomorrow's press. I will put a link up if there is.
