Have you ever seen such a passionate picture of Bob? At Murrayfield Live 8. Photo AP.

I would have to watch the DVD again to be sure , but I think the only song he sang was GSOI.

I'm away for the weekend, (in Galway as going to see my beloved Bryan Adams) so I can't check but I think GSOI is the only 1 on the DVD but I recorded the concert & I'm almost certain he sang two songs at it. I check when i go home tomorrow. Its a great picture Scottie!

What an amazing photo! Good catch whoever took it.

It doesn't look like Rat Trap somehow the expression isn't right for that song? Mondays maybe?

I've just checked out the DVD, I think it must be Rat Trap. He has his guitar on his back, so it can't be Mondays, and he did slide the guitar to his back a couple of times during Rat Trap.

Beautiful picture anyway!

It's weird though because although it certainly looks like a guitar strap over his right shoulder, he plays with it over his left shoulder.  Unless he swapped shoulders when sliding the guitar behind ... but that seems strange too .

I agree - can't imagine him looking like that in any part of Rap Trap ... the mystery continues .

I'm glad someone understands what I'm getting at. Which songs did he do at Murrayfield? Maybe we can eliminate it that way?

he did Indifference and Rat Trap there...

"The crowd clapped and jumped as he then performed The Great Song of Indifference, what he described as a Scottish folk song, and then the Boomtown Rats' classic, Rat Trap ."

His expression looks more appropriate for Indifference that Rat Trap, but I may well be wrong...

I checked my tape today & it dosen't actually show that exact image, however there are alot of similiar images during Rat Trap so I reakon it probably was Rat Trap.. It was nice watching the tape again..

Cazzy there hasn't been much going on around here recently anyway. So you among many others haven't posted. It has been noticed in general. Don't feel forgotten

... or a very good impersonation of one

And I was talking rubbish about him wearing his guitar strap on his left shoulder; it's obviously on his right in this photo. My only defence for such stupidity is that I was looking at musicmania's avatar, where it is on his left ... how confusing

Did Bob only do two songs at Murrayfield?

He had to fight just to do 2. Originally he was not included, but he insisted. Thus, he was labelled in certain quarters a bully and an egotist.
