I wonder if they are going to downsize the site, as it seems to replicate some of the sections on the site. Don't know. I certainly won't be going there at the moment. They are obviously trying to close us down. WE WOULD ALL HAVE TO GO, OR NOBODY. If we trickle one or two at a time, then we will close down. Let's monitor it at the moment and see what happens. After all we are doing for them just now, , with the petition and everything!

Yes, but the difference is of course is that they want complete control. At the moment Arr Gee has that, but IF he has gone, and we dont know if he has, or is just lying low having a laugh at us and our petitions, then MJ and I have the site.

There is an announcement on the "new" forum, (no I haven't registered), to the effect that if anyone sill has their Shepherds Bush tickets to contact them. Do you keep tickets for cancelled shows?

I don't know what they are playing at in creating a new forum. I think they forget the fraze (spelt wrong I know!), Freedom of speech. Its not like we were doing anything really bad & because of their attitude they have created a them & us situation, which I don't like...

You are right, Arr GEE mailed us the appropriate details, but I dont know if I am technically minded enough to do it right. Do I see a deal coming on? A shared site between management and fans and LOTS more communication between the two. That is what it should be. I mean look at what Bob is marketing now, for heavens sake,

I took the new forum off because I can't be bothered to look after it. Nothing to do with the number of fans Bob has, we don't need proof of that.There seems to be some sort pf vendetta going on. I really am fed up with this. I do know about EVERYTHING that is on the bobgeldof.info site, I run it for God's sake. It seems it's all about scoring points.

I wish the few that seem to take pleasure out of criticising and making mischief would grow up a little and get on with life, there are more important things out there than who can get one over on whom.

Please note I have been away on holiday, nowhere near a computer. I admit to originally criticising the website in a PRIVATE forum, and after the link was removed from the geldof.info site making those views public.

My beef is with Willo who sent a very offensive PM using you as the courier. I do have a vendetta with him. But not with you, Ian nor Geldof himself.

I did not post under another user id like Freedom of Speech (why not check who registered that id? You know my name and email). I confess there are a couple of others I do post under but more for comedy effect.

I am sick of the implication that I am doing this that and the other. All my views on Geldof have been recorded publicly in this forum. I have no contacts in the media, and have never sent them anything (nor would I).

Hell, I'm probably being blamed for the sold out notices on the Italian websites. For the record, I didn't.

Can I clarify that I never had complete control. Tina had dual control in the past, but this led to threads being removed like the cancelled concerts thread. After some discussion, it was agreed we brought MJ into the administration. I then asked for a volunteer to moderate, and was grateful you stepped forward.

I was contacted by a forum member to say the link to the forum was removed from the geldof.info site. Given the prevailing mood, there was the chance that Tina could have destroyed the forum (on Willo's say so). To mitigate this, I changed all the access to the forum, and ensured that MJ and yourself had all the necessary passwords.

At the time, my interest in Geldof had wound down given that no further Rats releases were likely, and he was unlikely to be playing live where I would see him, so it made little sense to have a fairly inactive member as the main administrator. Had Ian just left the link up, I'd hardly have made a post in the last couple of months.
