I've been busy while I've been away - I wrote three reviews. Siegen, June 5; Heilbronn, July 15 and Leipzig, July 16.
Heilbronn and Leipzig I wrote together with my friend Corinna, who has rarely posted on the forum but is quite regularly in chat. Our first co-production!
There are also some live photos - not great, but ok-ish.
There's an "extended version" of Heilbronn and Leipzig too (look for link at the bottom of the text), with more personal stuff and some details about the towns and venues, etc.
What an excellent review Katharina, especially when English is not your first langauage. He always does well in Germany, doesn't he? If it is OK, I would like to use a couple of pics on my flickr site, and of course credit them to you. Thanks again.

Thanks Scottie!
Yes he does well in Germany. He should come here more often...
Of course, do use the pics for your site - just go ahead!
Thanks Katherina (and Corinna) - you are a remarkable writer in English, never mind it's not your first language. You give the reader a real sense of place and involvement that's not always easy even if English is your only language!!
I'm glad you mentioned Johnny's 'necklace' - he wore it at the Melbourne gig and I'd wondered what it was and its significance. I don't even know what 'lotus beads' are! But that doesn't stop me relating to your description of where they might be seen. It's amazing because it's exactly the same here; similar beads are commonly seen hanging from the rear-view mirror of taxi's driven by Indian and Pakistani drivers. I don't think we have many taxi drivers from Thailand, or Asia in general (unlike the UK, we don't refer to Indians/Pakistani's as 'Asian'; Asia for us is a bit more to the east). I do remember getting a taxi ride with a driver from Ghana - and he had beads hanging from his rear-view mirror that were the colours of that country's flag!
Thanks also for bringing back some wonderful memories of the gig I went to - it's only four months ago, but it truly feels like four years ago.
Bob also told the story behind 'Scream In Vain' when I saw him, and although what he explained about "sweet yams in the fields of Harbo" really stuck, I can't remember where he's referring to re "scream in vain". I remember he was talking about somewhere where things were so desperate that the thieves who were out to steal a person's wallet would cut the throat of their victim. Can anyone enlighten me?
