Reevo, I'd really try and get more info before I went...
It says contact somewhere, I'd phone them and ask if they know anything. Maybe they can give you a number in Spain? I'd call that number on the day, before I got into the car. No way you're driving seven hours and then it's not taking place!
I'm keeping my fingers crossed! If you go (and if they play), will you tell us all about it?
According to H on W site,, it is definitely on, as well as his talk the following day. I reckon he wil still do this, as it has been so widely publicised and is part of a bigger festival.
22:00, Plaza del Azoguejo Square (Aqueduct bridge)

Bob Geldof in conversation with Peter Florence

I think If It had been cancelled, It would be here.
I meant to say also, that as it is a free gig, there will be no ticket issues. It sounds like a realy good night and what a beautiful place it looks. I want a full review for myspace review section, if that is OK. Thanks. And pics.
Bob Geldof, durante su concierto de anoche en el Hay Festival de Segovia, que tuvo que ser suspendido a la media hora por la lluvia.
I beleive he was nearly blown away by Hurricane Gordon. Well done for sticking it out. I think they had to interrupt it because of the weather.I think this is probably the rehearsal. Looks sexy in leather! -- Edited by Scottie at 15:54, 2006-09-22
The song "In the Pouring Rain" would have been appropriate. The gig had to be abandoned after about 45 mins. He promised more after the rain, but it did not stop. Who would have thought a hurricane in Spain in September?
We got caught in torrential rain in Majorca last week. It was absolutely horrendous, completely soaked and there were torrents of water running everywhere. We gave up jumping over the rivers and waded through them.
I love the leathers and jeans, wonder what he'll be wearing in Milan
These are impressive photos! Windswept (except the soundcheck one)! Scottie and Reka, where did you find them? Are there more? That wall behind them looks just ancient and beautiful. That must have been a wonderful "backdrop" for the show, even in the rain...
I found them in Spanish newspapers. Local papers often have the best pictures. I then translated the corresponding articles in Google, which were mainly about the weather.
I found it when I was searchin on news.google.es I don't think thet there are moree pictures. Gettyimages, WENN or Wireimages, Brunopress didn't have any. There are three photos at. http://www.anp-photo.nl/
