Sorry, but I have to write something about it on this forum.
I never thought this would happenn.
There are riots in the capitol since Sunday. Today it continoud and the major towns joined in. The leading TV stations building have been annexed. THey got in a thrown out archiv cassets and stuff. The police tries to keep away the people from the Parliament. It's awfull !! They are throving bottles, more and more people are injured aspecially police officiers. The TV riporter is crying .
Here in Pécs a mob marched down just in front of our house.
They want to hang the Prime Minister.
It is getting wors minuite by minuite. I never though I will write about things like this in my blogg, but it is cathastophic. There are cars burning. Something exploded! Oh, my God!!
This is not a jocke. This is really happenning.
There is something burning in front of the building. 1000 or maybe more people are demonstrating at Kossuth Square.
I can see people bleeding on TV.
There is a blocade.
This is getting scary. I only seen thing like this in historical documentaries. Now they are thowing stones at the reportes.
There are only two reportes in the studio of TV2. The others got stuck in the blocade.
The police car is burning!!
Ferenc Gyurcsany just called for an emergency meeting
I'm shocked.
It is like in a war zone. Oh my God, It looks like they took over the national TV. 2000 people.
Thank you, yes. Most of the events are happenning in the capitol, but you can never know when will the protests here in Pécs will turn as violent as in Budapest.
I think it is better to stay in the house.
About that speech. I wrote about it in my blogg on MySpace.
Gyurcsany said that he didn't want more lies, his party the MSZP lied and he got fed up.And it looks like they are trying to turn over a new honest page.
(I wonder what Bob would say about his speech. The PM used more swear words than him in any of his speeches.)
I saw the news this morning and thought about you. That is too awful. Keep safe. Why do politicians always have to lie? Why do people have to make their protests violently? There is something wrong in this world.
I'm very sorry to hear about all of this. I hope you are staying safe in this turmoil.
I have at times felt very ashamed to be an American because of our ignorant, arrogant President. But as in any situation, violence is not the answer.
We will keep positive vibes coming your way.
peace & take care,
debm
