Hi and welcome to the forum. Sadly,for personal reasons, Eddy does not run the site any longer. I do not know of any new address for him. maybe somebody else does.

When Bobs concert went badly wrong in Milan Eddy called it a day and closed down his home page.I for one miss Eddy.I ordered lots of cds of Eddy and sent some copys down to him.He was allways willing to help.Sad it ended up the way it did.

that's incredible! this story it's so bad... The Happy fan club website was the best, news every mounth, everithing about Bob, etc. Now there isn't any other site like it.
The official web site it's terrible 1 news every 2 or 3 mounths!!! the last news is the BG concert in Milan (October) and the CD competition... WHO IS THE WINNER???

The Japanise site thereisn't any news from April 2006
BTR.co.uk, no news from many years
BG and his work, the American site no news since 2005
Ten Fifteen, it's incredible! 20 pics... is this a website???

It IS up to date with gigs, though few and far between at the moment, 2 next year that we know of,(Colombia and Dubai) tv appearances, speaking engagements, (Switzerland) articles, etc.

The network on this site here do a great job at keeping me up to date.

I think it is a real shame. I wasn't there so can't comment on what happened in Milan in July this year. Whatever it was, it's sad and and a shame that it has resulted in the Happyfanclub website being shut. It was certainly one of the best websites around for Bob and kept the most up to date.

Still this the best place to go for chat about Bob. You can also visit Irene's Geldof Appreciation Society as above. Or any of the rest of us on myspace.

I hope you stay around here, we need some enthusiasic Rats and Geldof fans to get us all talking

Yes, Jules is right, although we have now no connection with the official site, here is the best place for you. Hope you stay. Do you have any nice photos which you have taken of Bob , that I could use, or have you met him? Tell us about yourself.

This forum has all the latest news, so just come here. I agree with you about nogeldof.info, but they'll only get upset and call you a knob if you raise it with them, so don't bother.

Facts are Geldof hasn't done much on the music front lately so there isn't much to write about. And I don't want to write about his lucrative speaking engagements.

Last entry on my blog Rat Blog is from October, not because I'm not keeping it up to date, but because nothing has happened.

Anyway, there are a couple of concerts in the new year.

Yes it is a website to me, It may only have twenty picture's, It may not be finished but as i get more time i will add more picture's and more content. I can't jet off to Italy, Dubi, Columbia!!!!! The site is about the concerts I've been to and the great people I've met. If you think it's incredible! NOW

I think it is unfair to compare Kaz's website to the others. She's just an individual fan, posting photos. The other sites are a bit more 'official'. Or maybe I'm biasted because I'm on the website

Back to Eddy - I'm only guessing but I think he is no longer a fan and might not enter into correspondence relating to Geldof/Rats. The only address I had was the one on the website.

Where are the wallpapers from geldof.info? Ang gallery, interviews, ringtones, videos?

there are even jokes on Roger Taylor's official site.

Where are the lyrics for the new songs on the Anthology? In the booklet, it says see www.bobgeldof.info for lyrics. I never found them. I did ask, but no reply.

Not only are there no lyrics, the entire Anthology is missing from the Discography section of the official website. I emailed them about it, but got no reply.

I think it was declaring "Geldof was Dead" that swung it. After all, they still have the link to my blog up. It was only Eddy provoking them (much like this forum) that caused the link to be removed. But remember the link to this forum went first, we were the original naughty children

Not sure about the bad concert. Generally when Geldof does play they are supposed to be pretty good. Eddy's problem was with the gig been cancelled and Geldof telling him he didn't care about his site!

I wouldn't say the official site was hopeless, there are some pretty good articles and reviews on there. The criticism I would level at it is there is rarely any news nor details of his appearance.

I wouldn't say his management are hopeless. Offensive, yes, Hopeless, no.
They were smart enough to put a positive spin on Geldof's cancelled concert in Italy, by staging a free concert that was broadcast on MTV, along with associated audio/video streams that people may be likely to listen to. Their alliance with the Hay festival has also been a very shrewd move, as a way of staging Geldof concerts and pretty much guaranteeing an audience.

I think their attitude to cancelling concerts at a whim stinks, but they obviously did that to not lose money. The oft-repeated argument on here is that Geldof ain't a big star anymore, and if he really does want to play music on stage which he continually proclaims is where he is happiest, then he needs to play smaller venues. It may not be as lucrative as his other activities, but if he truly does love it, then a man of his wealth can afford to do it even if he makes very little from it.

The decisions made by Geldof's management have been in his best financial interest, so they have simply been doing their job to the best of their abilities. They could have a better relationship with his fan base, but ultimately that makes little difference as there are barely enough to make much difference to him financially anymore.

Geldof's management is simply looking after number one. He pays them!
