Well,

Bob is just stealing the thunder of all the hard work done by others.
Bono and Richard Curtis should get far more credit than Bob. They started the make poverty history campaign before Bob even got involved. Bob has only jumped on the bandwagon.

Like so many others around the world, I'm really excited about Live 8 and was looking forward to watching it live from start to finish. I was visiting the UK in 1985 during Live Aid -- it was amazing. I remember watching it on TV in Glasgow. I'll never forget it. I'm back in Aust...

Is there anyone on here going to Edinburgh on Wednesday, for the long walk to justice?
I want to go, but not sure how far from Edinburgh rail station it is
Have all The Boomtown Rats been getting the money from the sale of their tshirts, posters etc on this web site, and all their ones that have been sold over the years at Bob Geldof's gigs?
so far I'd have to say no :-/ elton john was good though! but that punk from the libertines covering children of the revolution....is there no mercy!? But it's only 17.20 over here, UK time it would be about 16.20..

Dear All, I am sickend by the comments I have read on this forum by members who have rubbished the efforts made and have made critisism to the event which will in no doubt make changes to this world to "make poverty history". Here at bobgeldof.info HQ we have our nose to the grind trying to answer the 100's of emails, about the Live 8 gig, mostly congratulatory. A few rather nasty and cynical.

We are thinking of taping the whole show, but it will be messy (i.e. over two tapes) and not official, just wondering if there might be a DVD brought out sometime soon? I'd rather have something official and DVD.
I have been watching the concert on TV (along with no doubt half the population!) and I salute Bob for that. Edinburgh has welcomed the protesters and (as I've said all along), as long as they respect those who work and live here, there should hopefully be no violence.
We want the world leaders at the G...

Who does Sir Bob think he is? He has told our prime minister Paul Martin, that if Canada isn't willing to commit to giving Africa what he thinks we should give, that Mr. Martin should stay home and not attend the G8 summit. Hi,
does anyone of you got this concert? It happened in June 1990 and was used to be some sort of UK Promo. But guess that it was aired some time ago in TV. I was in contact with one of you guys some months ago, but unfortunately we lost contact. Maybe YOU can help me there :)
Thanks a lot
Steve
I grow tired of this conversation. I have shown you people to be communists, thought terrorists, and, frankly, a bit slow on the uptake. There is no need to thank me for my time.

I think that the Live 8 organisers should take heart at the response to Ebay auctions for LIve 8 tickets from the outraged public everywhere - silly bidding!
It seems that people are opening Ebay accounts and bidding £10,000+ on ticket auctions in an attempt to scupper such dubious sellers....
