With the summer gigs over I wonder what the next move, if any, from the band will be? The only thing scheduled, albeit up in the air, is the prospective 40Th anniversary gig sometime in the next few months. Brilliant festival - some good bands and great for people watching. Some very "interesting" people! Boomtown Rats seemed to go down a storm - very positive vibes from crowd standing near me And the weather stayed dry which was a bonus. Only negative was being bought a raspberry cider...
just listened to this lp (on headphones) still amazed at what a groundbreaking lp this was it should have fared a lot better than it did still sounds fresh today

If you can drag yourself away from Comic Relief, then there are a couple of hours devoted to Irish Rock. Geldof provides the expected vox rock, and I suppose there is the chance of seeing the Rats in their pomp. I shall record it as I will be out with Royal Blood.

Not heard anything about confirmed gig yet but thought it worth highlighting to those perhaps not aware that Rats did record a guest slot on Imelda May show last week. Believe it's going out on RTE some time in July. Not sure when. Is there an RTE equivalent of iPlayer for those outside Ireland?
